Congrats to Keith, Jason, and Tyler this past weekend at the Louisville slugger...Also adding a couple of pics from the regatta.  Looks like the regatta had a good turnout!  To all those who neglected the chance to sail at the Slugger, there is always winter sailing in Florida. (You too Juniors!)

Tyler Andrews, Kevin Shockey, and Kaleigh White(geared in their Team Intensity blue rashguards) place 14th at the 2007 Thistle Nationals.  Tyler and Kevin are D18 Laser sailors who made a short thistle campaign this year and made great strides against some of the midwest's finest Thistlers.  Team Intensity captured the 2007 Junior Nationals Championship in the Thistle class.

The 2007 Leukemia Cup was a fantastic event once again for all those who made it out.  The top laser team finished in 4th place overall, while Team Intensity had their dates mixed up finishing with a humbling 2nd from Last!  The Regatta site has more info on this.  www.Leatherlips.com

D18 Championships held at Leatherlips Yacht Club was fun and filled with intense racing!  Barret Rhoads took 1st, Ken Swetka took 2nd followed by myself (John Shockey) in 3rd.  Radials wrapped it up with Tyler Cruickshank taking first, followed by Matt Givens and Wick Hardenbergh.  The regatta was awesome and here are some links of interest!      RESULTS  and REGATTA REPORT-Janet Rupert  One last note, special thanks to the ones who put in the miles to make it here; atendees from Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana, made the regatta a complete success.

Kevin Shockey of D18 places 2nd and myself finishing 8th(costly deathroll!) of 57 full rigs at the D11 Championship held in Annapolis, Maryland; Severn Sailing Club.  The regatta ran 3 races on Saturday followed by Sundays "blowout." It was a fantastic regatta followed by great food and cervezas celebrating Cinco de Mayo!
